Window Shutters

Doors & window shutters basically mean movable paneled assembly which fits into its corresponding frames. Shutters have been there for a long time and they actually provide and control the amount of air, light, ventilation allowed inside as per the convenience of the user.

Mahogany

Mahogany is a tropical hardwood famous for its straight and even grained characteristics. Coupled with excellent workability, it a premium wood candidate for furniture and related applications. It is typically reddish brown in color that darkens over time and has an alluding sheen to it. Some of the distinct features of mahogany are listed below.

  • Excellent workability: Mahogany is easy to work with. It is receptive to sanding and machining.

Jungle wood

Jungle wood is an average sized hardwood that grows mainly in the temperate forest areas. It should be remembered that jungle wood is not any particular wood, but rather a collection of wood species like oak, spruce, birch, acacia, dark oak etc. Jungle woods are favored by traditional craftsmen for its intricate grain structure. Some of the unique characteristics of jungle wood are listed below.

  • Highest strength: Jungle woods, being hardwoods have the highest strength and structural properties making it the traditional choice for furniture and construction applications.
  • Long life: These woods are long lasting
  • Termite & Borer resistant: They are naturally resistant to any infection and attacks from pests and insects.

Rubber wood

Rubber wood is a byproduct of latex production. Some of the unique characteristics of rubber wood are listed below.

  • The natural color of rubber wood is light creamy that can easily be stained to resemble walnut, cherry, oak or other woods, depending on consumer demand.
  • Abundantly available
  • Rubber wood logs are relatively cheaper compared to other conventional wood.
  • Good woodworking and nail holding properties
  • It can be easily steam bent

Jackfruit Tree

Native to India, Jackfruit trees are a good choice for making furniture and other allied products. Jackfruit tree grows to a height of 8-25m and its wood has a rich orange or reddish brown appearance which adds to its uniqueness. High structural rigidity, favorable grain orientation, long life and good screw and nail holding properties are some of its advantages. The shutters will be available in a variety of sizes and styles.
